For those of you who follow me on Instagram you will have noticed that I have been rather quiet of late. And there is a good reason for that:
I love photographing water. Virtually every photo on my website (and certainly on my walls) have water in them, either as the main subject or as part of the composition. However, just lately the weather has been so dry that all the water has disappeared. Rivers and streams in my area are virtually down to the rocky bed and I have seen waterfalls in Cumbria reduced to a trickle (one waterfall near me has dried up altogether).
So the camera has stayed in the bag and not been pointed at a landscape in over a month - *sigh*
However, good news! For me at least - other more normal folk may not agree. The rain has come. We have had nearly 2 days of solid rain so far and my weather app states that we have another week or so of rain to come! Hurrah!
So I think it is time to start dusting off the camera, cleaning the lens, formatting memory cards and charging batteries because we are soon going to be back in business!
And I cannot wait!
Thank you as always for reading my ramblings.
